Few steam locomotives have a history to match Princess Margaret Rose, one of the first production Pacifics for the LMSR.
On withdrawal from BR service, Sir Billy Butlin purchased the locomotive for display at his Butlin’s holiday camp at Pwllheli. This is the story of how No. 46203 was preserved and taken to the Butterley centre on the Midland Railway.
We see her progress from Pwllheli and restoration to its main line operations.
