Skipton to Carlisle cab Ride and Return

‘Cab Ride from Skipton to Carlisle’ A new edition of our cab ride along the line. This digitally improved DVD with full commentary (2 hours 16 minutes) with Class 47 444 on 31st January 1990 also includes a cab view in the southerly direction from Carlisle to Skipton on a snow-covered line. Hauled by No. 47474 it departs Carlisle on the 10.40 passenger train. It was filmed in January 1986 with highlights and narration with driver commentary added of 21 minutes. Apart from the snowy conditions, the line is looking forlorn during this difficult period in its history. Stations are closed apart from Appleby and Settle and the outlook was looking bleak.
