This dvd, Cab Ride No.10, was recorded on 30th September 1986 over the cross-country route from Portsmouth to Cardiff – via Bristol Temple Meads. As such, it traverses ex-LSWR metals from Portsmouth to Salisbury and ex-GW metals thereon.
We were accompanied by Inspectors John Berriman and Dennis Flood, by Jeremy de Souza from Waterloo Public Affairs and our drivers were Dennis Smith and Jim Evans. Our thanks are due to all for their enthusiasm and assistance.
Locomotives were No. 33050 to Bristol and No. 33010 to Cardiff.
