Eastleigh Yard to Poole Sidings
This DVD was filmed on board a Virgin Voyager ECS working from the EWS yard at Eastleigh Depot on 15th May 2003. Destination was Poole sidings in readiness to begin a cross country service.
Our route takes us through the depot at Eastleigh passing the yard signal box and joining the Botley line with Eastleigh Works on the left to enter Eastleigh Station for a reverse move.
The Voyager then takes the main line through St Denys and Southampton, through the New Forest passing the junction for the Marchwood branch and then through Christchurch, Pokesdown and Bournemouth. The final section is from Bournemouth through to Poole station where a stop is made to allow various passengers trains to pass in the Up direction after which the ECS move continues into the sidings just to the west of Poole station.
Approximately 1 hours 15 minutes duration
