Paddock Wood to Hoo Junction
Filmed from the cab on EWS Class 66038 from Paddock Wood to Hoo Junction. We start from Whirpool sidings and approach the Maidstone Branch where the train of eight empty wagons pulls up at a ground signal. Our route follows the line to Beltring,
Yalding, Wateringbury, East Farleigh, Maidsone West, maidstone barracks, Aylesford, New Hythe, Snodland, Halling, Cuxton, Stood and the one-mile long tunnel to Higham after which we arrive at Hoo. Here we stop and reverse into the sidings.
On our way up to Maidstone, a signal failure meant that we had to proceed at caution by hand signals for some distance.
Duration 1 hours 20 minutes
