details the fascinating history of this light railway in mid Hampshire. Full of rare
black & white photographs, it traces the beginning of the line in the 1890s to its
grand opening in 1901 and its demise in 1932. Its claim to fame though is forever
recorded on film with the use of the line in two feature films; The Wrecker and Oh!

Since the last edition, the eleventh edition, there have been many changes to the locomotives that escaped from Dai Woodhams’ yard at Barry. More have steamed into further service; many have changed locations; some have been scrapped to make way for new-build projects and dozens have now been withdrawn for overhauls.
